Denver students can opt to head a few miles north to Boulder, where Colorado State University offers programs in apparel design and merchandising. Westwood College also maintains two campuses in Denver and offers a program in fashion design.

The employment outlook for Denver looks quite bright, and through 2012, fashion designers are expected to see a 22% increase in job opportunities. Fashion merchandisers have an ever better outlook, with a projection of 26%.

Why Denver is a Great Place to Study Fashion

Denver's residents are determined to prove to the world that their city's style goes beyond the western stereotype of tie-dye and denim.
